Our overspeed governor STAR can be used now also as single-acting.

The certification of the STAR overspeed governor has been developed and added to. With the new approval, as well as the ability to use it bi-directional, it is also possible to use it as single-acting, if desired.

From now on, when you want a single-acting STAR overspeed governor, you must specifically indicate it on the order. On the other hand, we need to determinate the spin direction, for this reason, you must also specify if the governor is assembled on or under the car.

Besides, for single direction spin systems, we have developed a new model: the STAR LS (Low Speed) which permits a minimum tripping speed of 0.35 m/s to be reached, which is significantly lower that reached up until now.

In short, according to the tripping speed, it is possible to classify our STAR governor as follows:

• BI-DIRECTIONAL or SINGLE-ACTING:
o Minimum tripping speed: 0.6 m/s
o Maximum tripping speed: 2.66 m/s


• ONLY SINGLE-ACTING (STAR LS):
o Minimum tripping speed: 0.35 m/s
o Maximum tripping speed: 0.59 m/s
