Why doesn't my VEGA overspeed governor have automatic reset?

  If you ordered a VEGA overspeed governor with automatic reset, but have been supplied with one without reset, this is because if the overspeed governor you have ordered has a rated speed equal to or less than 1 m/s it does not need automatic reset, because once it has been activated is resets itself. At this speed, the electrical trip occurs at almost the same time as activation. At rated speeds above 1 m/s, if an overspeed governor with automatic reset is ordered, the device will be supplied with automatic reset, as at these higher speeds the electrical contact needs to be reset manually or by remote control.
